ArcSoft TotalMedia 3.5 is an all-in-one media application that will allow you to enjoy and manage all your audio, video and photo libraries with an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. Not only can you play most of your media files, but it will also let you watch your favourite TV channels and listen to your preferred radio stations. Besides, TotalMedia will capture your videos, rip your audio CDs, burn DVDs, VCDs and CDs, and perform minor editing tasks to your media.

Clearly designed for the non-technical user, its interface is clear and intuitive. It displays oversized fonts and clear buttons and icons, which allow elderly and visually impaired users to locate and use any option easily. It includes all the basic functionality that common users usually demand – the possibility of organizing their own media libraries, of playing them, of copying them and of creating new media compilations.

You can load your existing playlists of audio tracks or create new ones, both with existing audio or using tracks from your CD collection. The program will rip any CD into WMA or MP3 format, and will burn both MP3/WMA data discs and regular audio CDs.

You can capture different types of media and store them into your system. ArcSoft TotalMedia 3.5 will easily capture your TV and radio signals (provided the appropriate card is installed in your computer) and will save them for future editing and/or burning. Another very interesting feature is the option to move data between some of your portable devices and the computer’s hard drive. This way you can enjoy your media files in the handheld device of your choice.

The video editing functions are basic but useful. Scenes from your personal videos can be edited out and you can also save screenshots from your favourite TV or video files. You can also get rid of the red-eye effect, rotate and enhance your digital photos before creating a slideshow that you can later burn to DVD. You can also create basic custom menus for your videos before sending them to disc.

All in all, a very enjoyable and simple tool for those who want to enjoy their music, videos and photos without the hassle of going through complicated menus and options, and hard-to-understand jargon.
